Crash Game (Rugs)
PolyEdge Rugs is a provably-fair crypto crash game built into the dashboard (the Game tab, under Markets). Each round the price pumps and dips in real time; you buy in, watch your multiplier climb, and hit SELL before the round “rugs” — crashes to zero. Cash out in time and you keep your bet × the multiplier; get greedy and the rug takes it all. Play free with virtual POL in Demo, or for real with POL on Polygon.
- Two modes: Demo (1,000 virtual POL) and Real (POL on Polygon)
- Provably fair — every round is verifiable after it ends
- Random opening price each round, with big up-and-down swings
- Manual SELL, or an auto-sell target that cashes out for you
- Your own unique POL deposit address; withdraw back to your wallet
- Live recent-rounds strip, best multiplier, and net P/L
How to play
- 1
Enable the game
Open the Game tab in the dashboard sidebar and clickEnable gameonce to opt in. It defaults to Demo so you can try it with no risk. - 2
Pick a mode
Demo gives you 1,000 virtual POL (with a “Reset to 1,000” button) — no deposit, no real money. Real plays with POL you deposit. Demo and real balances are completely separate. - 3
Set your bet
Type an amount, or use the½/2×/Maxbuttons or the quick-bet chips. Optionally set an auto-sell × target. - 4
Play, then sell
HitPlace Bet & Play. The price runs from your entry and the big number is your live multiplier. PressSELLany time to lock in bet × multiplier — or let the auto-sell cash you out when the multiplier hits your target. If the round rugs first, the bet is lost.
The price & your multiplier
Every round opens at a random price between 0.1 and 1.0 and then swings up and down. You enter at that opening price, so your payout multiplier is the current price ÷ your entry — it starts at 1.00× and rises as the price climbs above where you bought in. Cashing out the instant a round begins just returns your bet (break-even); the longer you ride, the higher it can go — and the more rug risk you carry. The random opening value is cosmetic: because volatility is scaled to the multiplier, it does not change your odds.
On top of the normal drift the price throws sudden “mega” moves — it can spike up several × in a heartbeat (runs of them reach 2×–6× and beyond) or plunge to roughly a half or a third just as fast, then keep going. Spikes are rarer than plunges (that keeps the game fair), so the chart teases, dips, and rockets — cash out while you're green.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Opening price | The random 0.1–1.0 value the round starts at (shown as “opened …”). Cosmetic — it doesn't affect your odds. |
| Multiplier | Current price ÷ opening price. This is the number your bet is multiplied by when you SELL. |
| Rug | The round crashes: the price plunges to ~0 and any un-sold bet is lost. |
| Auto-sell × | Optional target — the game cashes you out automatically the moment your multiplier reaches it. |
Provably fair
Every round is generated deterministically from three values — a secret server seed, your client seed, and a per-round nonce — using HMAC-SHA256. Before the round the game publishes sha256(serverSeed), a commitment it cannot change; after the round it reveals the serverSeed so anyone can re-run the hash and confirm the exact rug point and every price. You can rotate your client seed at any time. The rug point is fixed the instant the round starts, and the server only ever reveals prices up to the current moment — so it can neither move the crash against you nor leak it early. The client seed, nonce, server-hash, and (after the round) the revealed seed are all shown in the Provably fair panel.
Odds & the house edge
The rug is a small, constant per-tick chance (memoryless), so cashing at a lower multiplier wins more often while cashing higher pays more but wins less. Approximate figures at a few fixed cash-out targets:
| Cash-out target | Win rate ≈ · house edge ≈ |
|---|---|
| 1.2× | 70% win · ~16% edge |
| 1.5× | 58% win · ~13% edge |
| 2× | 43% win · ~13% edge |
| 3× | 29% win · ~13% edge |
| 5× | 18% win · ~11% edge |
Deposits & withdrawals (Real mode)
Click Deposit and the game generates your own unique POL address on Polygon. Send POL to it from any wallet or exchange — or straight from a connected browser wallet — and it is credited to your game balance automatically, usually within a minute (keep the panel open to watch it land). Withdraw sends POL from your game balance back to your connected wallet. Balances are POL (native Polygon).
